Pondering last night just how much validating the obvious this is going to cost us. Much ado about nothing.
ReplyDeleteThe Coleman v. Franken recount cost $12 million. And you're right, this isn't that close. Perhaps the law should be changed so that recounts legally kick in if the difference is .1% instead of .5%? After doing a little research, the average change in national recounts is .03%.
ReplyDeleteMy other question is, even if Emmer didn't want a recount, does it have to take place by law?
